In May 2019, Damien released his highly respected debut solo album “Dúchas” on the Raelach Records label. Damien is a founding member of the band Boffin to Burren who compromise of Kieran Hanrahan, Seamus O’Donnell, John Carty, Dessie and Johnny O’Halloran, Padraic O’Reilly, Ronan O’Flaherty and Caitlín Nic Gabhann.

The band have performed at many events around Ireland including the Temple Bar Trad Fest in 2016 and played for President Michael D. Higgins in Ennis, August 2016. In 2013 Damien joined the Kilfenora Céilí Band. The band played in 28 concerts that year and Damien’s musical knowledge fitted the band perfectly. The band recorded “Now is the Hour” and Damien guested on several tracks. Still a frequent performer with the band, highlights of this time include a performance in The National Concert Hall in March ’13 and ’14.

In 2006, Damien was the co-founder of the band Cruinniú who recorded their album “Live in Corofin” in March of that year. The band toured the album extensively around Europe and around Ireland. The group also performed on the “Seize the Moment” album recorded in Tipperary. Damien recorded as a guest on both his brother Padraic’s solo piano albums “Down the Ivory Stairs” and “Highly Strung”.
